2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use LVLUP and which features you enable, we process:
- Account and authentication data — such as your email address, Supabase user ID, session information, password reset events, display name, and username if you choose one.
- Onboarding and profile preferences — such as date of birth, gender/avatar preference, height, weight, preferred units, training goal, training environment, session length, experience level, consistency baseline, nutrition intent, workout-day preferences, rest-day preferences, timezone, and reminder preferences.
- Training and progress data — such as contracts or programs, daily quests, workout tasks, exercise details, sets, reps, weights, time, distance, steps, completion status, rest days, XP, streaks, and other progress history you create in the app.
- Device, app, and local session data — such as device type, operating system version, app version, notification permission status, timer state, Live Activity state, and local workout-session cache stored on your device so sessions can resume.
- Support and community communications — when you email us, we receive your email address and message. If you join the LVLUP Discord server, Discord account details and messages you post are handled by Discord and may be visible to us as server administrators.
LVLUP does not sell your personal information and does not use advertising SDKs. The current app does not connect to Apple Health, Google Fit, or similar health-data stores. LVLUP uses audio for workout timer sounds; it does not collect microphone recordings.
3. How we use information
We use the information above to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve LVLUP and its features;
- Authenticate users, maintain sessions, and protect accounts;
- Create quests, track workouts, calculate XP, and preserve progress history;
- Save preferences, schedule reminders, run timers, and support Live Activities where enabled;
- Respond to support requests and community reports;
- Comply with law and enforce our terms where applicable.
4. Legal bases (EEA / UK users)
If applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of a contract to provide the app, legitimate interests for security, product improvement, support, and fraud prevention, consent where required for optional permissions such as notifications, and legal obligations where we must keep or disclose information.
5. Sharing
We share information only as needed to run LVLUP, provide support, comply with law, or protect rights, safety, and security. We use service providers that process information on our behalf, including Supabase for authentication, database hosting, and account-related email flows; Expo and mobile operating-system services for app delivery, updates, notifications, and Live Activity functionality; Apple and Google for app-store and platform account services; and Discord if you choose to participate in the community server. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies where they act independently.
6. Retention
We keep account, profile, and training history while your account is active so LVLUP can show your progress and resume your program. Local session data remains on your device until it is cleared by the app, by sign-out or app removal, or by your device settings. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal information unless we need to keep limited records for security, legal, fraud-prevention, or dispute purposes.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
8. Children
LVLUP is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in your region to use digital services without parental consent. We may ask for date of birth during onboarding to support age-appropriate use and app eligibility. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will take appropriate steps.
9. International transfers
If we process data in countries other than your own, we use appropriate safeguards where required by law (such as standard contractual clauses).
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. Contact support@madmanapps.com to make a request. You may also have the right to complain to a supervisory authority.
11. California residents
If the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) / CPRA applies, you may have additional rights regarding your personal information, including access, correction, deletion, portability, and the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information. LVLUP does not sell personal information and does not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
12. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page and update the “Last updated” date.
